Topson Thinks of Retiring from the Dota 2 Pro Scene! The name Topias Miikka “Topson” Taavitsainen would certainly be familiar if the spinners were fans of Dota 2. He is an OG player who won The International 2 times in a row with the same teammates, namely at The International 8 and also The International 9.

“I asked myself the exact same question after The International 2019 and, frankly, I spent a few months thinking. Right after the tournament, I took time off from Dota and at that point I was seriously thinking about retiring, trying to analyze what my life would be like if I gave up everything here and now.
But time passed and gradually I realized that I still love Dota 2, the game itself. I love analyzing it, discovering new things, testing heroes… I also love to compete, and Dota allows me to do it at the highest level. So I decided to move on, just because I like playing Dota.
