A Month's Experience Using By.U Provider From Telkomsel

It seems that currently many netizens are talking about the new provider from Telkomsel, namely by.U (previously called Hup beta). Well, this time I will share my experience for a month using this provider made by Telkomsel.

We are now officially on the platform Tiktok! Follow our Tiktok account at @gamebrott.com to find various information and our other interesting video content.

At first, by.U had the name Hup beta at the beginning of its release, the name Hup then started to rise after they gave the lure of a 25 GB quota promo at a price of only 50 thousand, and was active for 30 days. At that time, they only limited to 3000 beta testers who were chosen randomly, to register at that time we only needed to enter an email on the website by.U (formerly Hup). If we are selected, they will send an email containing an invitation link to download the application.

Well, thankfully I got the opportunity, so then I carried out the necessary processes to complete the registration to pre-order the starter pack which would be sent by Hup via JNE.

How come via JNE?

Maybe some of you will be confused, why go through JNE, because usually to buy a starter pack, you only need to buy it at the counter or Graphari. This is what distinguishes by.U from other providers, since the release of this starter pack, they have carried the theme of digital prepaid cellular services that provide a digital experience. end-to-end for all telecommunications needs.

They were also developed to attract Gen Z in Indonesia, you yourself know, if currently Gen Z is projected to number around 44 million people. Well, this generation always does all activities independently on line. That way, all activities from this provider will run digitally.

Oh yes, this by.U when pre-ordering you can choose a cellphone number as you like which you can choose from several available options. So that later you will get the cellphone number you want, after that you can choose the package you want, because at that time it was still a beta tester stage, I got a price scheme of 25 Gb 50 thousand, then a 2GB Instagram topping quota for 5 thousand and the last phone and sms pulse 5 thousand. Then all you have to do is make a payment to order through several options, such as via Gopay, Link Aja or bank transfer via virtual account. It’s done, just sit back, the courier brother from JNE will come to the house to pick up the provider.

Actually, there are two ways to get this by.U starter pack, first via JNE courier or you can visit by.U’s booth. However, because of my busy schedule that I can’t leave behind (actually lazy) I finally chose the first method hahaha…

How complicated is it?

I admit, I personally think that by.U is a bit complicated when compared to other providers. Instead of carrying the theme of all-digital service, it is a blunder because it takes longer, if calculated, it takes days (from the registration process to getting a starter pack) compared to other conventional providers, who just need to come to the counter and buy the activation starter. and it only took half an hour at most. Well.. maybe this is what makes the difference because if it’s the same with other providers, what’s the difference?

At the time of registration, this starter was also quite complicated, and inefficient, because I had to scan identity cards such as ID cards, besides that the response from the customer service was also quite slow, which in the end I was served by nindy, the automated chat bot belonging to by.U.

How does it feel to use it for a month?

Surely many of you are asking this, because maybe many of you are doubtful because this provider is still new and quite foreign to your ears. Well, this is the author’s opinion after using this provider for a month.

FYI, This provider is a Telkomsel output provider that you know yourself, right if the signal and speed can be trusted, now by.U is a provider whose network rides on Telkomsel’s tower, so there is no need to doubt the speed, both when downloading or streaming Youtube etc., playing games online is also quite stable if the place has a strong signal coverage. However, because at my house, the signal from Telkomsel is not very good, so there’s no difference with Telkomsel… oh why!!!

Currently by.U still only reaches a few cities in Indonesia such as Jakarta, Bandung, Yogyakarta, Malang and Surabaya.

The conclusion?

By considering various considerations, the conclusion is, I recommend this starter pack and you can use it, especially for those of you who need a large quota at a low price, but remain stable and can be used in areas where there is only a Telkomsel signal (if has reached other cities in Indonesia).

For you guys, please don’t compare! especially those who often say “2,500 get 2GB”.. pls stop, because the class is different.. and if the power goes out the signal doesn’t suddenly disappear, aka it’s still there and you can surf the internet.

The current tariff scheme has also changed, if in the past 25 GB was 50 thousand, now you only get 10 GB at the same price, but in my personal opinion, the quota is still quite large and cheap. Because, usually writers are required to spend 100 thousand every month to get 12 Gb of data quota. For those of you who want to order by.U, you can do it by downloading the application on the Google Play store, while Apple’s Apps Store is not currently available.

So that’s my opinion after using this provider by.U from Telkomsel, if there are words that are not appropriate or you have other opinions about this provider, please write your comments via Gamebrott Tech’s fanpage.
