Although Not Released on Steam, The Number of Pre-Orders for The Division 2 on PC is Very Satisfactory

Ubisoft claims to be grateful for the existence of the Epic Games Store

Apart from Metro Exodus, The Division 2 is also one of the most unfortunate games absent by PC gamers on the Steam platform. Yes, Ubisoft As a developer and publisher, it has been a long time since we decided to market this online shooting game exclusively specifically only on the uPlay platform (their own) and also the Epic Games Store.

We are now officially on the platform Tiktok! Follow our Tiktok account at @gamebrott.com to find various information and our other interesting video content.

In contrast to the fate that must be experienced by the developers and publishers of Metro Exodus, Ubisoft itself seems to be “fancy” with the decision that has been made. Even on the conference call they just had, Yves Guillemot as CEO of Ubisoft, he is optimistic about his team’s bold move to choose not to market The Division 2 game on the Steam platform.

Recently, many distribution platforms have been born which are quite active in providing maximum content. Through this offer, we have seen a golden opportunity to increase consumer awareness of the existence of our distribution platform (uPlay), and at the same time also support our partners who have been willing to assess and provide good offers for our games.

The initial indications are really starting to look promising. The number of Pre-Orders for The Division 2 on PC recorded very positive results compared to the first series, even reaching 6 times higher on our Uplay platform. I really believe that this offer can be a positive signal for us in the long term.

Yves Guillemot, CEO of Ubisoft

Through Yves’s statement above, Ubisoft seems to want to take advantage of the moment from the existence of the Epic Games Store to gain a lot of exposure from gamers in order to increase sales results from their own digital game platform, namely uPlay.

Obviously this is not news that sounds good for those of you who have already decided to stay loyal to the Steam platform. Because in the future, Ubisoft will likely be more aggressive in marketing their games exclusively, but evenly across all major digital PC game distribution platforms that you know exist today.

The division 2 game itself is scheduled to be ready for release on March 15 upcoming on PC (via uPlay and Epic Games Store), PS4 and Xbox One platforms. Don’t forget that Ubisoft recently gave an attractive offer to claim one of their 3 old AAA games if you are interested in pre-ordering this game on the uPlay platform and the Epic Game Store.
