Celebrate 6th Anniversary, Techland Temporarily Free Dying Light on Steam

Dying Light is one of the phenomenal games when it was released in 2016 and until now it still has a fan base that cannot be said to be small. Techland as the developer announced that this temporary “switch” of Dying Light to be free-to-play is a form of gift for Dying Light’s 6th birthday celebration. Interested players can play Dying Light for free from today until March 1st. For players who end up buying, later the game progress obtained in the free-to-play session will be transferred to the version that the player just purchased.

Besides freeing Dying Light exclusively for PC, Techland also presents a special in-game event titled Zombie Hunt and new content that can be purchased separately. The special Zombie Hunt event will last for two weeks where the city of Harran is said to be terrorized by the undead GRE troops that have mutated and become very formidable.

In addition to rescuing survivors, players can also go on a mission to find and kill a boss named Hothead Joe. Meanwhile, the new content in question is the Harran Tactical Unit Bundle which contains skins for buggy vehicles, shields and new weapons. The content pack is priced at US$2.99 ​​and will be available for all platforms.

Dying Light is currently available on PS4, Xbox One as well as PC. Until March 9, the Standard Dying Light version is also discounted by 66% to IDR 91 thousand and the Enhanced Edition version gets a 70% discount to IDR 128 thousand. Meanwhile, the sequel, Dying Light 2, has been confirmed, although it is still in the development stage and does not have a definite release schedule yet.
