Cyberpunk 2077 Delayed Again, Now Released In November

Cyberpunk 2077, the new RPG game from CD Projekt Red, has been postponed again, this time 2 months from its previous release date. It was supposed to be released on September 17, now the new release date is November 19, 2020.

This is the second time the CDPR has delayed its release. Cyberpunk 2077 was supposed to be released in April this year, but was delayed by 5 months due to reasons the developer wanted to “make the game as perfect as possible.”

This second delay has the same reason, to clean up the game from any potential technical problems. Through pictures they share on various social media, CDPR wrote that they will only release games when they are “ready” and don’t want to be rushed by their promised schedule.

They explained that the game was basically finished in terms of content, but they asked for more time back to make sure all the features and content were balanced and ready as they should be. With the scale of the game and also the large map, they also have to “tidy up” before the release.

The second postponement was a very tough decision from CDPR, but this is not the first time the Polish studio has repeatedly postponed the game they are developing. The Witcher 3 also experienced a similar situation, but the end result is that the game has become one of the favorite RPGs of many gamers and is still popular and recommended even 5 years after its release.

In announcing the postponement of this game, CDPR also reminded gamers that they will be showing new gameplay on June 25 via livestream. Hopefully the gameplay can satisfy gamers’ curiosity about how the game progress so far.
