Reporting from Nichergamer, a player was banned by Capcom for insulting Black Lives Matter. The player named Ryan “Filipino Champ” Ramirez is known as a professional fighting game player. He was banned by Capcom for writing Watermelon Lives Matter with an image of a watermelon instead of Black Lives Matter through his twitter. It was actually just a joke to his friend, but some people considered it an insult.

He had apologized for the incident. However, the East Coast Throwdown Tournament immediately banned Ryan Ramires from his competition. This continued on June 17, where Capcom also issued a ban on playing. The ban applies to all types of matches and events that Capcom holds worldwide.

The explanation above provides an overview of the Ryan Ramirez case which is more towards misunderstanding. However, the case has sparked a public outcry, causing problems for Ramirez. Especially because the Black Lives Matter phenomenon that occurred in the United States is a problem that is considered very serious.
