Daybreak Games announced today that the battle royale game H1Z1 finally a free-to-play game. To welcome the shift in their business model, they released a new trailer for the game. General Manager H1Z1, Anthony Castoro said that this system change is not only to implement their own version of the battle royale and auto royale system, but is also one of their steps to reach more players. With the e-sports event “Pro League” to be held in Las Vegas in April, they want to make the game one of the new “attentions” in the world of e-sports.

Then, what about those who bought the game during early access? Calm! Daybreak Games has prepared an in-game bonus “Appreciation Pack” for those of you who have helped them. This pack includes Gasrunner Hoodies, Bloom Survivor T-Shirt, Splinter Camo ARV, 10 Victory Crates, and 10,000 Skulls. Along with this, they also released a Bronze, Silver, and Gold Limited Edition Battle Royale Pack which each contained lootboxes, currency, and cosmetic items.

For those of you who don’t know, H1Z1 is the battle royale shooter game before PlayerUnknown’s Battlegrounds or PUBG born. In fact, it was PlayerUnknown himself who helped make the battle royale mode mod on the Daybreak Games concoction game. Same as PUBG, you will descend by parachute and search for weapons, ammunition, vehicles and some of your survival necessities. Your playing area will be limited by a poisonous gas that continues to drive you until one of you wins the game.
