Henry Cavill: "It's More Fun to Play Games at Home Than Hanging Out"

Henry Cavill’s name has now skyrocketed again, after being absent from his role as Superman in the DCEU, now he plays the figure of Geralt of Rivia. Through the latest series The Witcher on Netflix, Cavill managed to bring the persona of The White Wolf very nicely. One of the reasons why he managed to portray the figure of Geralt with maturity is because Cavill is also a fan of The Witcher franchise. He had even read the original version of Andrew Sapkowski’s novel and had played the game version.

Cavill himself is indeed a gamer who often spends hours for his favorite game. Through his interview with CQ, Cavill even admitted that he prefers to spend time playing games than hanging out outside. “When I’m at home, I spend hours playing games and escaping from the outside world,” says Cavill. He also argues that hanging out outside has a bad effect.

Cavill has many stories related to his favorite games, one of which is Total War: Warhammer 2. He admits that he has gone through 6 different playthroughs with 6 different races, his playtime has even touched hundreds of hours. In his role as Geralt, previously Cavill also played the game version, even in The Witcher 3 he had played several playthroughs, one of which used the highest difficulty level. When taking the difficulty, Cavill admitted that he had difficulties and ended up always dying.
