This is because DICE creates ray-tracing using the Microsoft DirectX Ray tracing API. Which means this technology can be applied to any GPU that has Microsoft technology support.
As reported by PCGamesN, the Microsoft DirectX Ray tracing API can be used like the DirectX API with a plug and play system. Make a lot of hardware compatible with it can directly use it. Both AMD and Intel GPUs.
DICE Technical Director, Christian Holmquist said that they only spoke to DirectX Ray Tracing (DXR) staff. “Because we use NVIDIA to develop it, so currently only the hardware is well optimized,” he said. But he added that it can still be optimized for hardware other than NVIDIA.
