Reported by Weekly Famitsu (via Gematsu), the development of Persona 5 The Golden turned out to have a new director and new producer, namely Daiki Itoh as director and Kazuhisa Wada as producer.

He-he must have worked on several Persona games before. Daiki Itoh for example, where he became lead confidant planner for Persona 5 and project director for Persona 4 Golden.

While Kazuhisa Wada himself was never directly involved in Persona 5, but he became chief designer for Persona 4 Golden, Persona 4 Arena, Persona 4 Arena Ultimax and Persona 4: Dancing All Night.

Katsuna Hashino as the director and producer of the original Persona 5 itself is being transferred to work on Project Re Fantasy as a director and producer.

But fans certainly don’t need to worry because Persona 5 The Royal itself is a version enhanced the same as Persona 4 The Golden, where this version adds new content such as gameplay elements to story elements.
