The first event held by IESPA is the IENC (Indonesia Esports National Championship) which will soon hold a preliminary round in various regions, with a round grand final in Jakarta. Later IENC will screen the Indonesian contingent for the game branch, Dota 2, Mobile Legends: Bang Bang, and Tekken 7. Each branch of the game will be represented by one team, or two people for games individual.

The screening process will be very strict, because only the strongest team or players are entitled to participate in national training (national training) and are dispatched to the 2019 SEA Games. This is in line with the statement of Plt. Secretary General of KOI (Indonesian Sports Committee), Mrs. Hellen Sarita de Lima, who was questioned separately.

“IESPA has the right to select the national training athletes to be submitted to the KOI which will then make the selection through monitoring and evaluation with a team of experts to form a contingent of the SEA Games or other international multi-events”, said Helen Sarita de Lima’s mother

Mrs. Hellen Sarita de Lima and Mr. Eddy Lim

With the issuance of this statement, it is clear who has the right to make the selection and determine who will go to the 2019 SEA Games which will take place in the Philippines later.

“Currently, we are opening as many opportunities as possible for Indonesian esports teams who want to become the 2019 SEA Games contingent through the official channels that we provide,” said Eddy Lim, the general chairman of IESPA. “Currently the 2019 SEA Games has two official channels, namely IEL and IENC. Later there will be several more events that will be held in the near future”, he added.

Not to forget, in closing, Mrs. Hellen Sarita de Lima explained that in all sporting activities it is necessary to implement Olympic values which consist of, peaceful (peace), friendship (friendship), excellence (advantage), and respect (value). He hopes all events esports load those values. How is your team ready to compete?
