The latest rumors say that the latest Resident Evil will have a special mode that gives an impression roguelike into the game in the form of mode randomizer.
An insider with a good reputation AestheticGamer or Dusk Golem explained via Twitter that after completing the main story as well as the difficulty level expert, the game will later provide a new level of difficulty which is currently unknown but is said to be randomizing the total arrangement of items and enemies in the game.
(1/2) I’m curious if they’re going to talk about this before release, and *UNLOCKABLE SPOILERS* for anyone avoiding all spoilers, but no story spoilers here, just an extra mode, BUT…
I’ve known for a while they toyed with making an “Ethan Must Die 2.0” for village, & turned it https://t.co/3BuldpeKnN

“I don’t know the full details / the final result of the mode, I think it will be explained in more detail before its release, but what I do know is that this mode will make the game more open, randomize the position of enemies and items and increase the difficulty of the game to the extreme,” wrote Aesthetic Gamers.
Randomizer is a favorite mode in the Resident Evil community. Many content creators in this franchise community try to finish the game with this kind of randomization mod which at least changes the location of items and enemies, and at worst randomizes the total map arrangement in the game.
Adding this kind of mode officially would be a smart move from Capcom if it’s true, the existence of this mode can add replayability of the game and also provide more hours of play for die-hard fans.
Resident Evil Village will release on May 7 for PC, PS4, Xbox One, PS5 and Xbox Series X/S.
