Reviews for games that have been returned are no longer used in the calculation of the Steam Overall Score

Updates this resulted in overall score for some games experiencing changes.

Some time ago, Steam get updates. If you look closely, you can see that there are several games who have changed overall review scores. This is because review for games which has beenrefund no longer used in calculations overall score.

Although not explained in changelog, this can be ascertained. When you make review for a games, then do refund, then automatically games it will be considered as key purchase. As we already know, game review obtained through key purchase will not be counted in overall score.

Apparently, this change is meant to “help” games who get a lot review negative because of the problems it contains. After developer fix existing problems, review it is no longer relevant to the situation games actually. So, calibrating in this way is expected to be of little help. However, the downside is overall score from games who never get updates will also go up.
