Riot Games Gives Details on Valorant's Competitive Mode
Valorant gets a competitive mode, here are the details.
Riot Games’ efforts to present each game into a competitive game and ready to take on the esports scene are unquestionable. This is proven with MOBA games League of Legends which is one of the biggest esports games in the world. This effort is apparently also implemented for their tactical hero shooter game, Valorant. But this week, that’s all about to change.

Through patch 1.02 that will be released this week, Riot Games announced that they will be releasing a competitive mode for Valorant. This mode will be named Rated as confirmed by the game’s director, Joe Ziegler.
Similar to the beta version, the competitive mode will feature a ranking icon and its name. Both from Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, Platinum, Diamond, Immortal, to the highest rank called Radiant (formerly Valorant).
Interestingly, during a placement match you will be able to do matchmaking with your friends who have entered the friendlist Valorant. Even if your abilities differ greatly. This is because the system will provide fair matchmaking.
Even so, Riot admits that they will continue to develop and improve matchmaking Valorant. Making sure they wouldn’t put solo players against teams of four or five people from the enemy side.
The progress of the ranking will be checked through each Act Valorant after patch 1.02 was released. While future patches will provide details. Such as the number of wins, to the highest ranking.
Valorant now it can be played on PC for free. Unfortunately it is not clear when patch 1.02 which adds the competitive mode above will be released.
