Sony Frees PS4 Ratchet & Clank Permanently, Can Be Claimed Without Playstation Plus

However, in light of the return of the Play at Home initiative, Sony is currently distributing Ratchet & Clank games for PS4 and PS5 for free without the need for a Playstation Plus subscription.

This was first announced a few days ago, right before the State of Play event which aired last February 25. Through the Playstation Blog site Jim Ryan as CEO of Sony Interactive Entertainment announced the return of the Play at Home initiative to support the “stay at home” policy to suppress the spread of the COVID-19 virus.
Last year, only 2 games were distributed, namely Uncharted: Nathan Drake Collection and Journey. Now Sony promises to give away 1 game every month from March to June. Get started with the Ratchet & Clank game for this month. The distribution of games will take place from March 1 (March 2 for the Indonesian region) to March 31 next. Once redeemed, the game will be permanently available in the Library.
Besides Ratchet & Clank, Playstation Plus users also get Final Fantasy VII Remake for PS4 and 3 other games, namely Knack II (PS4), Farpoint (PS4/PSVR) and Maquette (PS5). In addition to free games, Sony also provides special promos for new subscribers of anime streaming services, namely Funmation and Wakanim. New subscribers will get a 90 day subscription extension for free
