The Iconic Nintendo 3DS Console Is Officially Ending Its Term
Nintendo, as the maker of the iconic Nintendo 3DS console, has officially stopped production of the console.

The game console, which features two screens that are opened and closed with a folding mechanism like a laptop, has been officially discontinued since its release in 2011.
This can be seen on the official website of Nintendo Japan where they listed “out of production”.
“Manufacturing of the Nintendo 3DS family of systems has been discontinued. 3DS games from Nintendo or third parties will still be available on the Nintendo eShop, Nintendo.com, and retail stores,” a Nintendo spokesperson said. Polygon Friday(18/9/2020).
Nintendo 3DS itself has been exhibited at the annual event E3 in 2010 ago which was then released to the public in 2011.
Over time, the Nintendo 3DS then got other models. Until the Nintendo 2DS was released to become a game console with an affordable version.
However, many people have predicted the discontinuation of production of the 3DS series. Because in 2017, the position of the 3DS has been replaced with a new generation console, the Nintendo Switch.
Nintendo 3DS is the successor of the Nintendo DS which was released in 2004. The console with the dual screen concept was produced from 2004 to 2013.
As a successor, the Nintendo 3DS does retain the characteristic feature of a dual screen, the same as on the Nintendo DS.
