THQ Nordic Parent Company Reveals Has 69 Games Unannounced

Embracer Group, the parent company of THQ Nordic, has announced that it has 118 game projects under development, 69 of which have yet to be announced. This is a fantastic amount especially seeing the company just “rise from the grave” 3 years ago.

Embracer Group currently has 5 subsidiaries with a total of 31 operating game studios and 3500 employees as well as contractors. The biggest teams they currently have are Tarsier (Little Nightmares), Volition (Saint’s Row), Experiment 101 (Biomutant) and most recently Saber Interactive (World War Z).

Through the financial report (via Venture Beat) that they released a few days ago, they believe that there will be a rapid increase in the current fiscal year due to upcoming games such as Spongebob Squarepants: Battle of Bikini Bottom Rehydrated, Destroy All Humans, Wasteland 3 and a row of other games that launched this year.

The COVID-19 pandemic was also mentioned in the report. Embracer Group explained that the pandemic forced them to carry out online operations and social distancing, but overall operations continued to run smoothly and the pandemic was only a minor disruption to operations.

Closing their financial report, Embracer Group revealed that they are in negotiations with various studios, franchises and publishers in the game industry, signaling that they will continue to “studio shopping” in the future and new members will join their company.
