Maybe most of you are already familiar with the name MiHoYo. We can’t deny this developer from China anymore after the great success with Genshin Impact last year. 2020 was the year they launched Genshin Impact.

This ARPG game with a microtransactions system in it has successfully attracted the attention of fans. Which they consistently provide various content in the game. Until now Genshin Impact itself is still very popular and continues to generate coffers of money.

In his presentation as an alumni of Shanghai Jiaotong University, the co-founder of MiHoYo shared details about miHoYo’s finances in 2020. According to the presentation, MiHoYo managed to record revenues of USD 800 million or equivalent to IDR 11.5 trillion.

Which half of the revenue comes from Genshin Impact with all the microtransactions in it. This revenue itself is twice as much as MiHoYo’s revenue in 2019. miHoYo also increased the workforce by 70% to 2,400 employees.
