Recently, a Coral Island funding project on Indiegogo was discovered by Stairway Games as the developer. Furthermore, Coral Island’s funding was fundamentally bogus and they started working on a solution to this problem.

Crowdfunding on Fake Indiegogo

According to a tweet on its official Twitter account, Stairway Games has been in contact with Indiegogo to remove the page. Unfortunately, as of this writing, the page is still around and has announced about $4,000 of funding from 64 people who donated money.

Furthermore, this Coral Island funding is indeed fake considering that Stairway Games has successfully completed crowdfunding on Kickstarter a few days ago. Of course, the actions of this fraudster are very, very detrimental to Stairway Games, which is currently building a reputation.

Until now it is not known what kind of action from Indiegogo and also Stairway Games. The hope is that the fraudulent pages can be removed soon and the donors’ money can be returned to their hands again.
