A Youtuber, Mystic, released a video unboxing Dualsense where he tried to connect the controller to the PS3. The process turned out to be really easy, just simply connect it with a USB cable and it can be used immediately without the need for additional settings. in the video, it shows that all buttons work properly in the PS3 main menu, after that, Mystic also tries to play the Motorstorm game and looks no problem. Unfortunately, the controller cannot be used wirelessly or wireless as well as Dualsense special features such as Playstation Button, Adaptive Trigger and Haptic Feedback can’t be used because it’s only exclusive to PS5.

Uniquely, Dualsense can also be used for Nintendo Switch. A Twitter user BrokenGamezHDR_ uploaded a video showing the controller working fine on the Nintendo Switch, but it takes an additional 8bitdo Adapter to connect the controller to the console via Bluetooth. However, just like the PS3, Dualsense’s special features cannot be used.

Unfortunately, Dualsense cannot be used on PS4 directly. Although there is an alternative way that is using Remote Play, but not recommended because it requires a very fast internet connection and limited resolution which makes playing games less than ideal.

Dualsense is now available online and in select stores. As for the PS5, it will be available on November 12, 2020 in certain countries such as the United States, Japan, Australia, Canada, Mexico, New Zealand, and South Korea and will be released in Europe, the Middle East, South America, Asia, and South Africa. on November 19, 2020.
