Here are the number of polygons from some of the iconic Playstation characters from time to time

The graphics of a video game are getting more and more extraordinary from time to time. Call it games like Skyrim which have a MOD to make it more beautiful, or maybe God of War 2018 which has very stunning graphics. and through the Playstation Blog they show how many Polygons are some of the iconic characters from their games.

Sir Daniel Fortesque

Sir Daniel Fortesque is the main character of the Medieval game that recently got a Remake. On PS 1 this character’s face is made of 60 Polygons and for the remake series that was released on PS 4 using 1734 Polygon. For comparison, see the image above.


Kazuya Mishima

For the Kazuya character from the Tekken series, it is estimated that on PS 1 the character uses approximately 100 Polygons while the Playstation 4 uses 2800 Polygons for the head and 6000 if the mouth and hair are counted.


Palico

For Palico the cat from Monster Hunter on the playstation 2 uses 144 polygons, while in Monster Hunter World it uses around 11,274 the comparison can be seen in the image above.


Rathalos

The next most iconic character from Monster Hunter is Rathalos. On Playstation 2 using 1390 and on monster hunter world Rathalos 11,274. Of course the more polygons the more detailed an image is.


Kratos

Next is Kratos, the main character from the God of War series. On PS 2 the Kratos character uses 1,200 Polygons, and PS 3: uses 5,700 while in the latest series that won GOTY Kratos uses 32,000 Polygons.


How super cool isn’t it. It is made by Playstation in the framework of the 25th anniversary of the playstation. Where they invite developers to show off how far their characters have come.
