Dear Fan Comments Super Smash Bros Ultimate Mod Video Eraser

Nintendo’s action actually got protests from Smash Bros fans. The reason is, the Twitter account AnimalTV reported that Nintendo asked YouTube to remove various videos featuring mod of the game.

Some videos like mod Cosmetics for Mario or replacing Terry Bogard with Goku were targets for Nintendo. Furthermore, from the information circulating, Nintendo did ask YouTube to take down the video because it didn’t want its intellectual property to be changed.

Even so, these Modders did not actually ask fans to pirate the game. Because, mostly mod in Super Smash Bros Ultimate, it’s only cosmetic, for example, new costumes or character models. Of course, Nintendo’s actions can cause quite serious problems.

Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is called the best selling fighting game of all time. Nintendo’s latest sales data report states that in its nearly 1 year old age, this one game managed to record sales of up to 15.71 million copies.

This figure managed to beat other fighting games in second place, namely Street Fighter II throughout its history, selling around 15.5 million copies. Even more so considering Super Smash Bros. Ultimate is only available on one platform, making this achievement really impressive.

Furthermore, this is quite old data and it is likely that the sales figures for Super Smash Bros Ultimate have already reached 20 million copies. Even so, this can be an illustration that the game is indeed very popular.
