Used to insinuate MIUI, now Realme is also adding ads to its ColorOS phone

An interesting news came from one of the smartphone vendors which has been known for its cheap products, namely realme. If they used to mock Xiaomi for inserting ads on their phones that use MIUI, now they are also doing the same thing.

Through their website, they announced that they would include commercial advertisements in the User Interface on their cellphones. The phones that will get this ad addition update are phones with UI ColorOS 6 and above.

“To continue to surprise you and maintain a healthy and sustainable business model, we will introduce a commercial content recommendation segment on realme phones with ColorOS UI. Phones with ColorOS 6 and above will get a recommendation update later.” Realme said on its website.

Realme also said that later the contents of commercial advertisements on its products such as promoting apps and commercial advertisements. Perhaps, the commercial advertisement in question is like an E-commerce site or an advertisement for a product. Later, ads on ColorOS will be placed in 2 places. It’s in the Phone Manager App and Security Check page after installing an app.

Just like Xiaomi on its MIUI, realme also provides a setting to turn off the recommendation. There is a button that has been prepared if you want to turn it off you just need to go to the settings menu>additional settings>get recommendations> turn it off by pressing the round icon.
