How Strong is Zhongli Buff? This is the explanation!

The news of the disappointment with Zhongli’s character, who is considered less strong, seems to have been tackled by miHoYo as the developer. And soon after it was reported that Zhongli would be on the Buff.

At the beginning of the release, miHoYo had talked about how this character was plotted as support, not the DPS like most people want.

But in the latest update, the Zhongli Buff news will make him an Overpower.

There are four solutions prepared for Zhongli in the update which will be tested in the 1.3 beta test.

The four solutions are Zhongli Talent Strengthening, optimizing skills and mechanisms, strengthening the Geo element resonance mechanism, and adjusting the Geo elemental shield effect.

However miHoYo explained that this is not the last. Everything will still be tested and all input from players is also considered.

For Zhongli

Passive Talent Adjustment “Dominance of Earth”

Previous effects:

Planet Befall deals an additional DMG of 33% from Zhongli’s Max HP.

Effects after adjustment:

The DMG from the following Zhongli attacks increases based on his Max HP, namely:

There is an increase in DMG Normal Attack, Charged Attack, and Plunging Attack: 1.39% of Max HP.

Increase Rock DMG / Dominus Lapidis Resonance: 1.9% of Max HP

Planet Befall’s DMG Increase: 33% of Max HP.

So in the update that is currently being tested, not only Planet Befall but all the damage from Zhongli is increased by the stats mentioned above.

Adjustment of the effect of holding down the “Dominus Lapidis” button:

Previous effects:

Detonates all the Geo elements in the vicinity, resulting in the following effect:

Creates a Jade Shield that can absorb DMG according to Zhongli’s Max HP. In addition, Jade Shield has a 250% bonus absorption effect against Geo elements;
Resulting in a Geo DMG area;
If there are enemies with Geo elements around the character, then Zhongli can consume a large number of Geo elements, a maximum of 2 enemies. This effect does not result in DMG.

Effects after adjustment:

Detonates all the Geo elements in the vicinity, resulting in the following effect:

If the number of Stone Steles formed has not reached the maximum limit, Stone Steles can be created;

Creates a Jade Shield that can absorb DMG according to Zhongli’s Max HP. In addition, Jade Shield has a 150% bonus absorption effect against all Elemental DMG and Physical DMG;
Resulting in a Geo DMG area;
If there are enemies with Geo elements around the character, then Zhongli can consume a large number of Geo elements, a maximum of 2 enemies. This effect does not result in DMG.

* After adjustment, the character’s resistance to interruptions effect increases when holding down the “Dominus Lapidis” button.

For Geo Element

Geo Resonance Adjustment (Enduring Rock):

Previous effects:

Increase immunity to interference. When protected by a shield, increases 15% DMG.

Effects after adjustment:

Increases 15% Shield Strength. Also, the character that is under shield protection will have the following characteristics: Increases 15% DMG; When a character deals DMG to an enemy, will reduce the enemy’s Geo RES by 20%, lasts for 15 seconds.

Geo Shield Adjustment:

Geo Shield, which originally had a “shield defense effect 250% more effective against Geo DMG”, was adjusted to “Shield Defense 150% more effective against all types of Elemental DMG and Physical DMG”.

The effects that are affected by this change include:

First the Geo Shield created by Elemental Skill Zhongli;
The two Geo Shields created by Noelle’s Elemental Skill;
The three Geo Shields created when taking Elemental Shards from Geovishap Hatchling’s Crystallize effect.

This change is also good news for Geo because the Buff given makes Geo’s elements even tanker again but also has extraordinary damage.
