Cyberpunk 2077 Will Get Free DLC Like The Witcher 3

At the time of The Witcher 3’s release, CD Projekt Red released 16 free DLC for the first 3 months before announcing 2 paid expansions that offered dozens of hours of additional gameplay. This decision seems to be CDPR’s middle finger against the business practices of other AAA game companies, where small content is paid for and immediately announces the “season pass” even before the game is released. It seems that the same will happen in their latest game – Cyberpunk 2077.

Confirmed via Twitter, CDPR briefly confirmed that their new RPG game will provide similar free DLC content after its release. The amount that will be given is currently uncertain.

CDPR also plans to make a big expansion like they did in The Witcher 3, but that’s just a plan for now. The current focus of the Polish studio is to finish the main game first. They have postponed the game 3 times, hopefully there will be no more delays and the game is really ready by the next release deadline.

Cyberpunk 2077 will be out on November 19, 2020 for PC, PS4 and Xbox One. PS5 and Xbox Series X versions will follow in the future.
