Animal Crossing: New Horizons Retracted in China After Being a Media for Hong Kong Gamers Protest

Due to the current pandemic, many protestors have been prevented from holding demonstrations. Although there is no confirmation as to why this family-friendly game could be banned from being released in the bamboo curtain country, the actions of Wong and his supporters are considered the reason because timing-its more than just a coincidence.

The game will most likely still be redistributed to that country but with various changes put in place such as censorship or even removal pattern editor which is an important feature of this series.
