Civilization VI Permanently Free on Epic Games Store This Week

After releasing Grand Theft Auto V for free for one week, it seems that Epic Games doesn’t want to stop giving away big games during the discount season. On this week’s occasion, the developer from Fortnite and Unreal Engine will share the new strategy game from Firaxis – Civilization VI.

To claim the giveaway, all you need to do is visit the Epic Games Store page whether it’s from a browser or directly from the EGS program, then claim the giveaway. After you claim, the game will go into the library and without having to be downloaded you can access it forever.

Due to new regulations implemented by Epic Games, you may be required to activate Two-Factor Authentication (2FA) first. The process can be done on the following page and choose one of the 3 required authentication options.

According to rumors, the next Thursday’s giveaway will be the Borderlands Handsome Collection which is a collection containing Borderlands, Borderlands 2 and Borderlands: The Pre-sequel. This hasn’t been confirmed yet, but with Civilization 6 being the right giveaway after GTA V, we’ll see if it’s true or not next week.
