Dev. Satisfactory Shares Their Game Sales Data on Steam and Epic Games Store

Satisfactory is a sandbox game from Coffee Stain Studios, a developer known for releasing Goat Simulator. This game is still in phase early-access but it has caught the attention of many PC gamers because of the gameplay engineering which is interesting.

We are now officially on the platform Tiktok! Follow our Tiktok account at @gamebrott.com to find various information and our other interesting video content.

Prior to its release on Steam, the game had been an Epic Games Store exclusive for a year. Like other EGS exclusives, Coffee Stain’s decision was criticized and many said they didn’t want to buy the game until it was released on Steam. But how far is the actual selling performance between the two platforms?

In his new video, Jace Varlet, community manager for Coffee Stain, shares a sales comparison between Steam’s and Epic Games’ platforms.

The game has sold 1,326,518 copies so far, with 958,917 copies coming from the Epic Games Store and 367,601 coming from Steam. Overall, it’s true that EGS is superior, but Varlet explained that the numbers on the Steam version were reached in just 1 month, while sales on EGS were achieved in one year. So indeed games will sell faster on Steam because of the much larger community, but still the sales figures on EGS are not as bad as many people think, even with the boycott movement that is still being carried out by fans. fanboy.

Whatever platform store they use, selling over 1 million copies without a publisher and massive marketing is a huge achievement for Coffee Stain Studios. Both platforms have their advantages and disadvantages, but what matters most for developers is how much revenue they will earn.
