Esports Team Gives Overwatch Free, But Immediately Discontinued Because Many Claimed
The opportunity is gone.
Sometimes, the good intentions of a group of people or individuals are often misused by various parties. This is because not everyone who is given, has a sincere heart to receive the kindness. Instead of accepting it with grace and kindness, many of them actually take advantage of this kindness just to fulfill their ego. A real example experienced by professional esports teams too Overwatch following.

This morning, professional esports team Overwatch from the United States, Boston Uprising shared Overwatch for free. Unfortunately, they had to turn off their giveaway form shortly after the promotion was announced.
The current promotion page only says that because so many people wanted it, they had to shut it down. But they admit that some selected players will get a code Overwatch within 72 hours.
Giveaway promotion Overwatch by Boston Uprising was originally meant for their little fans. They intended to hold it until January 15, 2021. However, because of the many people who claimed, Boston Uprising immediately closed it on the first day of its promotion. Creating a form that has no limits on people who can make these claims is a frightening specter for them.
As reported by PCGamesN, Boston Uprising Community Manager, Matthew Shiflet said via Boston Uprising’s official Discord channel that they pulled the form and don’t know if they will roll it back. Shiftlet continued that they intended to share Overwatch for free because they want new players who don’t have it to be able to play it.
This is why we can’t have nice things

Shiftlet then expressed his disappointment through his personal Twitter account, where he regretted that many people who put their ego first would not be able to share happiness with others. “This is why we can’t get anything good,” he said briefly on Twitter.
Of course, this incident can be a lesson for a group of people or individuals to limit the number of people who need to make a claim in the form. However, because the nature of the internet is quite “vicious”, then the possibility of abuse is unavoidable.
