A student at a university in South Sulawesi, call him RA or Echa, admitted that he was kidnapped by people, he admitted he was kidnapped and asked for a ransom of 25 million via text message on WatsApp. In his confession he planned to look like he was being held captive, then RA’s parents were told to transfer some money to free him, this intention almost succeeded because RA’s parents almost transferred some money to the kidnapper’s account, but the plan failed after RA’s parents prefer to report the incident to the police.

RA himself is a student at a university in Makassar, South Sulawesi. In carrying out the action he sent a photo showing that he was being held captive in a house, then he sent a message to his parents and even threatened that if the money was not transferred, RA would be killed.

After receiving this information, the victim’s parents reported the matter to the police, then the police carried out a case development and chased the victim’s photo location, but after arriving at the location there were no victims, only ropes to tie the victim.

The police did not give up so they looked for him and found him in a house in Maros district. After that he was brought to the Makassar Police Station for questioning.

The results of the interrogation conducted last week, said Indratmoko, revealed that it was RA himself who sent messages to his parents using the new number.

He also sent several messages to his parents, Indratmoko added, including “Why don’t you text me back, I’m going to kick you” and “I don’t need your son’s motorbike, let alone his cellphone.”

RA also asked for the “ransom money” via SMS by writing: “I only need 25 million. Don’t you believe it? Your son here is already short of breath.” as quoted from Idntimes Monday (22/7/2019).

RA’s friend who helped RA in carrying out his actions admitted that he had heard that he did that to change his cellphone to an Iphone X and to fulfill his personal desires.

It is known that previously RA alias Echa’s parents had just sold the land, maybe that’s why he suddenly thought about buying an iPhone X and doing such crazy things.

Currently, the police have stopped this kidnapping engineered case and RA has been returned to his parents because the police also did not receive a report on the case.
