The company hopes to change that through a strategic partnership by partnering with Razer, which is well-known for producing Gaming Peripherals for gamers. Razer is expected to be able to help design the Y series gaming PC from Lenovo. Lenovo itself will do this business in stages, and the plan is that Lenovo and Razer will jointly research, and design computers for hardcore gaming or core gaming. And Razer CEO himself will make the official announcement at the annual event at the Consumer Electronics Show (CES 2016 International) in Las Vegas in January 2016. The total PC gaming hardware market is expected to grow from Rp. 34.1 Trillion or $24.7 Billion in 2014 to more than Rp. 44.05 Trillion $31.89 billion in 2018. and will show the prototype machine of this Lenovo Y series gaming PC at the DreamHack eSports festival in Sweden next week before being officially announced at the Global Annual event, CES2016.

Kevin Sather, Razer’s director of product marketing, said in an interview that Razer has access to 12 million gamers across the region, and this design will help Lenovo’s newest Y series gaming PC products to compete in the market with competitors.
Working partnerships like this reflect a long-standing trend in the industry where big-name computer manufacturers work with companies that manufacture hardware specifically for gaming PCs. Just as HP did, HP acquired Voodoo PC in 2006, and Dell also purchased Alienware Assets in 2006. Since then, the Alienware brand has grown as an independent business within Dell. And now, Lenovo is collaborating with Razer to create the latest gaming-only PC which is expected to get a good response from gamers.
Razer is a well-known brand for gamers, they sell a variety of equipment needed by gamers, such as gaming mice, gaming keyboards, and even headsets. This has also made the company move to Virtual Reality as a sponsor of the Open Source Virtual Reality platform. Initially, Lenovo will launch a new Y series desktop computer, a market targeted at gamers, and it will be part of a bundle of computers with accessories and along with Razer software utilities.
The plan is that the Lenovo Y series, which is claimed to be Lenovo’s newest gaming PC from the collaboration with Razer, will start being marketed in the second quarter (Q2 or April) of 2016.
