Former Pro Skater Jason Dill Claims New Tony Hawk Game and Skate 3 Mobile is in Development

The skateboard or extreme sports genre has become one of the genres that the current gaming generation has forgotten. Popular in the fifth and sixth generations, this genre began to fade due to oversaturation and the constant arrival of new trends.

Tony Hawk’s Pro Skater from Activision and EA’s Skate are the two dominant franchises when it comes to this genre. According to the claims of Jason Dill, a professional skater and musician, both franchises are currently being revived by both publishers.

Through the podcast The Nine Club, Dill shared that a few months ago, EA contacted him to appear in the latest Skate game project. When asked what Skate game was, EA replied that they were interested in developing Skate 3 Mobile. The phrase from EA was immediately criticized by Dill. He said that fans wanted Skate 4, not “the stupid mobile version of Skate 3”.

“[Mereka] basically saying, ‘We want to make a mobile version of Skate 3.’ I replied, ‘What else?’ He replied, ‘Nothing, that’s all.’”

“I replied back, ‘Hey, it’s nothing, but nobody wants a stupid mobile version of Skate 3. Just make Skate 4, just do it. Just make that game and get back to participating [dalam genre skateboard]’

On the same podcast, Jason Dill claims that there will be a new Tony Hawk Pro Skater game released this year. He added that his friend was also a character in the game and his skateboard was also there because he didn’t turn down the chance to get involved in the Tony Hawk game.

This isn’t the first time rumors of a new Tony Hawk Pro Skater have circulated. Last March, rumors circulated that there was a new series in Tony Hawk which was most likely a remaster of the first series.

For now, the resurgence of Skate and Tony Hawk cannot be confirmed. Now we just need to wait for the conference from each publisher in the middle of this year.
