Through a statement on their official blog post, Electronic Arts said that they will reduce 75% of the total coins needed to unlock these heroes, specifically Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader.

These changes make Luke Skywalker and Darth Vader previously valued at 60,000 credits to 15,000 credits. While other heroes such as Emperor Palpatine, Chewbaca, and Leia Organa will be rewarded for 10,000 credits (previously 40,000 credits). While the main character of this game, Iden Versio which was previously valued at 20,000 credits to 5,000 credits. They said that this change will continue to be implemented by EA in the future.
