The investigation finally yielded results in which some of its employees had to take administrative leave from the French company.

As reported by Jason Schreier from Bloomberg, it was noted that two executives and several other employees could not help but take leave from Ubisoft. The two executives currently under scrutiny are Tommy Francois and Maxime Beland. They are both people who oversee some game development at Ubisoft.

The two were accused by three Twitter users who did not want to be named, because of their unpleasant actions on Twitter. When asked further by Bloomberg, Ubisoft spokeswoman Stephanie Magnier said they could not comment on the matter because the matter was being investigated.

The #MeToo movement suddenly highlighted the problems that occurred in the video game industry thanks to a woman telling how she received harassment from an unscrupulous person in the industry. Of the many accusations, male employees at Ubisoft are the ones who get the most accusations in this case.

Ubisoft itself admits that it takes these allegations very seriously. They even posted on their official blog that they would investigate the matter. In response to his post, hundreds of Ubisoft employees said they were skeptical they would give punishment because similar cases have also been brought up in the past. Some even don’t trust the staff in the Human Resource division anymore.
