Japan Presents 10Gbps Internet for Less than 1 Million/Month

Very cheap with the speed it offers.

As technology advances, it is undeniable that currently the internet seems to be one of the primary needs for the last few years. Transportation, games, to watching TV now at least have internet options. All can be ordered online in order to keep up with the times.

We are now officially on the platform Tiktok! Follow our Tiktok account at @gamebrott.com to find various information and our other interesting video content.

But unfortunately, the exorbitant prices, especially in Indonesia, make many people reluctant to install high-speed services. It’s different in Indonesia, it’s different in Japan. If the local internet provider is publicly able to provide services up to 200Mbps as we use today, up to the office rate of 1Gbps. One of the most developed Asian countries actually offers 10Gbps speeds at a price that is equivalent to the services we use. Cheaper even.

It is the same with Indonesia with Indihome which has a very wide reach throughout Indonesia. Japan has a well-known provider called NTT or Nippon Telegraph and Telephone which regulates the internet speed in the country.

As technology advances, which has now stepped on video resolutions of 4K and 8K complete with VR, it is starting to spread. NTT West and East anticipate it with a super crazy maximum internet speed of 10Gbps to keep everything running smoothly. Their upload and download speeds are the same, which means 10Gbps is not only download speed, but also upload speed.

But keep in mind, this is the maximum speed only. NTT explained that it all depends on the region, the tools, and the technology.

Interestingly, this service is priced at around 6,930 yen or around 855 thousand rupiah, including tax. However, for the initial installation, you will be charged a fee of 20,680 (including contract fees and taxes) or 2.5 million rupiah.

To use this service, you need to rent a new router called FLET’s Hikari Cross with an additional fee of 550 yen or 68 thousand rupiah per month. So, if totaled, all the subscription fees will reach around 7480 yen or 923 thousand rupiah. Hikari Cross also supports Wi-Fi 6 (with serial number 802.11ax), today’s highest-speed router built to support streaming at resolutions up to 4K.

This service can only be enjoyed by those in several areas of Tokyo such as Adachi, Suginami, Edogawa, Nerima, Setagaya, Katsushika, Ota, and Itabashi for services handled by NTT East. Meanwhile, NTT West will handle the services in Osaka and Nagoya.

Those of you who are currently in Japan will be able to start registering on March 16, 2020 for Tokyo and Osaka. Where they will provide the service later on April 1, 2020. Meanwhile, those of you who currently live in Nagoya will be able to start registering on May 11, 2020. Meanwhile, the service will be distributed on June 1, 2020.

Of course, this can be a reflection of Indonesian providers who are currently still quite behind, to provide better services in the future at more affordable prices. This is because the data needed to download anything, including the original game, is getting bigger. Until now, the largest downloaded base game is around 100GB in size, not including the latest update. While streaming services that have started to mushroom will need high data and speed, so that everything runs smoothly.
