In the financial statements for the fourth quarter of 2020, AMD noted that they made a profit of 1.78 billion US dollars (around Rp. 25 trillion). This profit is 948 percent higher than the profit of 170 million US dollars (around Rp. 2.39 trillion) in the previous quarter.

This profit is a net profit after being deducted by income tax in the fourth quarter of 2020 of 1.8 billion dollars or Rp. 18.29 trillion. According to AMD, this profit is derived from the sale of AMD products, in particular the Ryzen processor.

Not only that, as we know that AMD is also the main supplier of chipsets and graphics cards for the 2 latest game consoles from Microsoft and Sony, namely the Xbox Series X, Xbox Series S and PS 5.

AMD said their achievement in the fourth quarter of 2020 was a new record and exceeded the company’s expectations.

However, they are a bit pessimistic and predict that their performance may weaken slightly in the second quarter of this year. This is due to the ongoing pandemic.

Currently, AMD is also said to be struggling to meet some of their premium devices. Some of them are RX 6000 graphics cards which are now rare in the market.
