A promising JRPG other than Final Fantasy on mobile?

Through Tokyo Game Show 2018, KLab announces their online free-to-play mobile JRPG game Magatsu Wahrheit. One of the games that caught the attention of many people at the annual Japanese game exhibition event. The game that is lined up as a “full-fledged RPG” tells the story of a world that was destroyed by pillars of light. You will act as a member of an elite mobile fighting force named Kidou Heidan (or literally means “Mobile Corps”) to protect humanity.

This game has six classes ranging from Knight, Wizard, Priest, Hunter, Warrior, and Gunner that you can change at will. You will also be able to change your appearance starting from your hair, armor, to the weapons you want. The matchmaking feature will allow you to fight on a mission with other players.

Unfortunately, the battle will be auto-battle and you only seem to be able to control the skill. You will be able to do limit breaks like Final Fantasy which they call “Awaken” which will increase your power. Awaken can also be done by your enemy.

Scenario Magatsu Wahrheit done by Miwa Shoda who also worked on Final Fantasy XII. Masaru Yokoyama is working on the theme-song (he also worked on completing the Mobile Suit Gundam: Iron-Blooded Orphans), Hiroki Ueno (Space Pirate Captain Harlock), and Yoko Tsukamoto (Xenoblade Chronicles X) who did the concept art. While the character design is done by Third Echoes, known as Caligula.

Magatsu Wahrheit currently still in the works and is doing pre-registration period in Japan. There is no information when the game will be released in Japan or the English version. However, if you look at the actions of KLab, which often localizes it to English, it is very likely that the English version of this game will also be released in the future.
