Nintendo Switch Production is Targeted to Be Boosted Again at the End of June
The Nintendo Switch is certainly one of the most sought after and desired consoles during this Corona pandemic. Because of the high demand, this console itself became rare and the price skyrocketed like crazy. Moreover, the production of the Nintendo Switch was also affected due to the stagnation in the supply of parts and the assembly plant, of course, was also disrupted.

But finally there is good news, because in a meeting with shareholders last week the President of Nintendo Co. – Shuntaro Furukawa said that they weren’t able to produce the Switch as planned until May, but as of this June production has mostly recovered and is expected to return to normal this summer.
One shareholder also noted that Nintendo missed a great opportunity to increase sales from the beginning of the year, and warned that the company (Nintendo) must find ways to prevent the rampant resale of its consoles.
“I apologize for causing trouble for the consumers.” Furukawa apologized about the problem earlier. “We want to deliver (the Switch console) to as many people as possible. We will fix this situation as soon as possible.”
Another Nintendo device that is reportedly also experiencing shortages is the Ring Fit Adventure which is selling well because it is one of the sports facilities for people from inside the house. Unfortunately there is no information whether production of this device will also be pushed along with the Switch.
As for the software itself, Furukawa said that there had been no impact on its sales so far. However, there is a possibility that they will not be able to sell according to the promised time, especially if there is a second or even third wave of this Corona virus.
We just hope that Nintendo can immediately normalize the distribution of its Switch console, including to Indonesia, so that the price can immediately go down and return to normal. But of course, keep in mind that Nintendo will need some time before they can finally meet their production quota and distribute them.
