Reporting from detik.com, Aulia E Marinto as Vice President of Consumer Telkom explained that initially each state-owned company had their own program related to millennials. However, specifically for this moment, the program was put together through an event Spirit of Millennials Games Day 2018.

“This program has been started by the IndiHome eSport League since 2017, then this year it is planned to be shared with ministries that are fellow state-owned companies,” he said.

The tournament, which was attended by Rini M Soemarno as the Minister of BUMN, said that millennials themselves are the generation that can encourage changes in BUMN for the better. “The transformation of SOEs can be driven by the presence of millennials. If SOEs coordinate with each other, there will definitely be positive synergies, exchanging ideas, and of course so that they can continue to develop with the times,” said Rini. “The synergy of SOEs will be more solid in the future starting from the younger generation. So, we feel that Indonesia needs a creative generation, able to see the future, not fighting each other,” said Vice President Consumer Telkom Aulia E. Marinto. The event is expected to provide a forum for creativity and innovation for young employees who will be formed in each BUMN, in order to encourage the spirit of BUMN transformation in facing an era of change, said Aulia.

With the emergence of many eSport teams among SOEs, it seems that they are starting to show the bright acceptance of the Video Game concept among the government. Hopefully the eSport scene in Indonesia will continue to progress.
