Ren Zhengfei: Huawei Can Survive Without American Components Supply

After Trump as the US government banned Huawei and put the phone on the American government blacklist. Recently, Ren Zhengfei as CEO of Huawei said if they can survive without supplies from the US. He also said that currently a large number of Western companies already have products without US parts. Therefore Huawei is now more confident.

He believes that if Huawei can turn to some of these companies and their supply is consistent. However, he didn’t say any company what they meant.

“It is estimated that our financial report will be better in the first half of next year, and it will not be bad. Can we survive without a complete United States supply? It has to be a fact… We can still use American parts and components if available. ” Ren Zhengfei said quoted Gamebrot from Gizhina, Sunday (29, September 2019).

But on the other hand, Ren Zhengfei still hoped that the United States would continue their supply. One of the reasons is, because until now, he has been with Western corporate friends for 30 years, and some companies still want to do business with Huawei.

With the ban on American companies from cooperating with Huawei, it has now affected several American companies. As you know, Huawei is Microns’ biggest customer, as a result of this problem they experienced a decline in their Q4 2019 fiscal net profit to a drop of 87%.
