If this number is calculated with the units that have been sold at the end of 2020, the total PlayStation 5 units sold are 7.8 million units, beating the PlayStation 4 which was only able to reach 7.6 million units at the same time.

Sony’s biggest profits today are from its video game software and Microtransactions/DLC/add-ons totaling $6.22 billion and $8.59 billion, respectively.
