Geek Fam managed to outperform other Dota 2 teams from Southeast Asia such as Fnatic, TNC Predator, to the new IO Dota 2 team. Another team that accompanied Geek Fam to qualify for ESL One Los Angeles 2020 was Fnatic, while another team was still being contested by Team Android and IO Dota 2.

Meanwhile, the Indonesian Dota 2 team, BOOM Esports, was unable to qualify from the group stage. They were unable to subvert the power of Fnatic and Geek Fam and had to settle for third place.
