Tachanka Rework Leaks Show Changes from His LMG

Looks like it’s going to be very strong.

Tachanka is one of the worst operators in Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege. He is the only operator without mobility after using his mounted LMG without any definite resistance. The request to quickly turn it into a chore that Ubisoft had in mind for years. The good news is that they finally officially decided to do a rework of “Lord Chanka” which was reportedly teased last February. Interestingly, now we know what the rework looks like.

A reddit user named xSkajOfficial leaked how the rework of Tachanka is being worked on by Ubisoft. Instead of using text to explain it, xSkajOfficial shows a live video of Tachanka’s gameplay without further ado.

Through the video, Ubisoft seems to turn the LMG Tachanka into something interesting. Tachanka has now lost his LMG being a primary ability. Ubisoft turned it into a primary weapon that he could carry wherever he went. Yes, you read correctly, now he is carrying Degtgyaryov DP-28 as a destroyer of the attackers.

The power of Tachanka’s LMG is proven by how he can punch holes in walls with large enough holes. xSkajOfficial explains that the weapon has 70 bullets with 48 damage. The damage decreases with the distance between Tachanka and the enemy.

Then, what about his abilities? Ubisoft has converted the mounted LMG into a grenade launcher that can fire about ten incendiary or fire grenades. However, it seems that the work on Tachanka’s new ability has not yet been completed. This is considering the reload animation and the fire still looks rudimentary.

xSkajOfficial explains that Ubisoft is likely to release a rework of Tachanka alongside Operation Shadow Legacy Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege.
