Taiko no Tatsujin Rhythmic Adventure Pack Returns to RPG x Rhythm

RPG x Rhythm Taiko no Tatsujin is back.

Taiko no Tatsujin, maybe some of you know the rhythm game. The game that previously only appeared in the arcade has moved to the console several times. Raising a typical Japanese musical instrument, the Taiko or drum, the series by Bandai Namco invites players to enjoy a musical instrument that is also included in the percussion category through the chanting of self-encouraging songs.

But unfortunately, its popularity in the past doesn’t seem to be the focus of the Japanese developer and publisher to develop it into a bigger one. Even so, they still maintain the franchise so that it doesn’t die in time.

They have also tried to take another point of view from the game, namely by adding RPG elements. Now, they announced a new title for the RPG version.

Titled in Japanese Taiko no Tatsujin: Dokodon RPG Pack or the official English title Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythmic Adventure Pack, Bandai Namco is trying to bring back its franchise in the form of an RPG. This pack will contain some of their games from Don and Katsu’s Great Time Adventure and Dokodon! Mystery Adventure which had appeared on the Nintendo 3DS.

In the game, the player will play Don-chan and will go on an adventure through the world. Just like RPG games in general, Don will meet several enemies that he must defeat. But instead of beating it with genre-specific battles, Bandai Namco turned it into a rhythm battle with taiko.

There are several modes that are present in the game, one of which is Taiko Mode. Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythmic Adventure Pack will also present more than 130 music that can be played. One of which is Gurenge, Marigold, Pretender, and others.

Taiko no Tatsujin: Rhythmic Adventure Pack planned to be released exclusively for Nintendo Switch only in winter 2020.
