The Last of Us TV Series Adaptation Is Ready to Enter Production

The controversial story and classy acting of the characters made The Last of Us game a success and received many prestigious awards. This success has also resulted in a sequel, The Last of Us Part II, and will be adapted into a TV series which has now been given the “Green Light” by HBO to enter production.

The series was planned months ago with the announcement of a collaboration between Naughty Dog and HBO to develop a series based on the game The Last of Us. Through the HBO PR Twitter account, the TV series The Last of Us has received order to proceed to the production stage.

HBO also announced that Chernobyl producer Craig Mazin will be accompanied by The Last of Us and Uncharted 4 director and writer Neil Druckmann as writer and executive producer. In addition, this TV series adaptation will be directly produced by Naughty Dog and PlayStation Production in conjunction with Sony Picture TV and HBO.

Until now, there has been no information about the actors and actresses who will star in Joel and Ellie’s characters. However, actress Kaitlyn Dever expressed interest in playing Ellie. In addition, Troy Baker, as Joel’s voice actor, believes that actor Josh Brolin will be suitable to play Joel’s character.

This TV series adaptation will follow the story of the first game which tells the story of Joel’s character who is given the task of smuggling a teenage girl named Ellie out of Boston. with background post-apocalyptic, Joel and Ellie must overcome various obstacles in a world filled with zombie-like creatures named Infected.
