AestheticGamer Announces Rumors About Silent Hill Game on PS5

Rumors have been circulating about the new Silent Hill game for months and now even more details about the game are leaking online. Fans should take this information with care, as the information is still rumored until there is official confirmation.

AestheticGamer, who has accurately leaked news about other horror games in the past, has revealed more information about the rumored PS5 Silent Hill reboot. In a series of tweets, AestheticGamer has claimed that production on the PS5 game Silent Hill began in 2019, and that it is currently underway at Sony Japan Studios. The game was supposed to be directed by Keiichiro Toyama, who also served as creative director of the Silent Hill Original.

AestheticGamer went on to say that Silent Hill 2 composer Akira Yamaoka is also working on the project, along with Masahiro Ito, who previously teased the Silent Hill game on Twitter. The development team from Gravity Rush and Siren is said to be working on the game. Instead of being a remake as some previously believed, Silent Hill on PS5 will be a reboot so in the meantime it won’t erase what went before, so it could be a Silent Hill game without playing anything else.

In their tweet, AestheticGamer denied rumors that Sony bought Konami’s IP. They also denied rumors that Kojima was working with Konami on the Silent Hill game, reiterating more recent reports that the horror game Kojima would be a completely original project from Kojima. Perhaps most interestingly, though, they say that the game is in a playable state and even has a demo that will be shown to the public at some point after it’s revealed.

If AestheticGamer’s information is accurate, this could be an indication that Silent Hill PS5 is exclusive and will launch alongside the PlayStation 5 itself. Sony has said that it has an impressive lineup of PS5 games to be revealed soon, and if Silent Hill is already in playable state. However, this is assuming that this information is correct, and it may or may not be true. So, taking that into account, Silent Hill fans should definitely be careful to keep their hopes up.
