Youtube is in the middle of testing the feature to close the number of dislikes on videos
One of the online video sharing platforms, Youtube, will recently be testing a new “feature” announced through the official Youtube Twitter account. The feature is to remove the number of videos dislike on a video, with the aim of helping all video creators avoid a bad image from the audience because of the many dislikes on one of their videos.

Even though the number of dislikes on a video has been removed, video creators can still see the number of likes and dislikes on their videos through YouTube Studio. Reportedly the trial will come in the next few weeks, but YouTube did not give more details when the trial date will be launched.
Creators, you’ll still be able to see the exact number of likes and dislikes in YouTube Studio. For viewers, if you’re in the experiment, you can still like or dislike a video to share feedback with creators and help tune the recommendations you see on YouTube.

After YouTube announced the trial via Twitter, it wasn’t long before the post above was flooded with mixed pros and cons. Because there is a possibility that creators who create less “good” content will not care feedback from the audience.
But hopefully in the future YouTube can reconsider the above trial. Remember button dislike it can also sometimes help viewers judge whether the video is worth watching.
