Developer Outriders Banned 200 Accounts Indicated Cheaters

Even though it has just entered the demo phase, the developer from Outriders, People Can Fly has blocked 200 accounts that are indicated as cheaters. They had to do this blocking in order to provide a deterrent effect to the players.

Furthermore, People Can Fly’s decision cannot be separated from the developer’s commitment so that Outriders are avoided from cheating players.

There are 200 Outriders Accounts Considered Cheaters

Based on information from Reddit, developer People Can Fly said that the Outriders demo had been infiltrated by 200 players who cheated. Of the 2 million players, there are around 200 more who are indicated to use third-party applications to be able to access 600 legendary weapons at the same time.

Interestingly, the developer said that this is a fairly small number considering the number of players who play Outriders. Furthermore, the developer apparently has his own way of dealing with cheating players in the game.

Call it for example features that make users cheats can’t play multiplayer mode because it’s blocked by the system.

How People Can Fly Eradicate Cheaters

First, the player indicated as cheater won’t be able to do matchmaking. Later, matchmaking from the player will take a long time. This makes them only able to play solo which of course will not be useful for the cheater.

Second, if the player uses cheater, then he will not be able to access the final version of the game. Interestingly, new players can play Outriders if they have deleted the character and started over from scratch. This is certainly quite annoying for the cheater.

In addition, People Can Fly will give you a permanent ban. Furthermore, the developer has also reportedly prepared a feature that allows other players to identify cheating in the game. However, this feature will not be available when Outriders releases.

Outriders will release for PlayStation 4 and 5, Xbox One, Xbox Series X and Xbox Series S, Google Stadia, and PC on April 1, 2021. The game will also be available on day one as part of Xbox Game Pass.
