EA Censors the words "DLC" and "Titanfall" in the Battlefield V Beta Chat Tab
And there are more “reasonable” words that are censored
In online-based games, censoring inappropriate words is a very mandatory thing for developers to do in order to maintain a good community climate. But what will happen if the dev performs a word censorship that shouldn’t need to be filtered and instead gets confused with some words that should be prevented?

Version Open Beta from Battlefield V It’s been a long time since last September 12. Regardless of whether or not the players are satisfied with the Beta results that EA presents, there is one thing that is quite disturbing for the players when they are communicating with each other. In the chat tab, many of them try to “fad” to find out what words have been censored by EA in order to relieve the potential toxic from each gamer.
They finally found a word that should not need to be censored, but actually censored by EA. One example is the word “DLC“. By typing the 3 letter word in the chat, the 3 letters of the DLC word will turn into a sign”***“. I don’t know what that means, EA actually doesn’t filter DLC words at all when you insert the word “free” next to it, so that it becomes “Free DLC” (uncensored).
Then there is the word “Titanfall“which incidentally is a game title made Respawn Entertainment which was also published by EA. If you type the name of the game in the chat tab, again you will find asterisks that seem to forbid you to type the name of the FPS mixed Mecha game in this game. Apart from Titanfall, there are other norm-compliant words that are censored such as “eat”, “lag”, “defend”, up to “6700k” (?).
Warning: sensitive issue, contains a little SARA
Words related to a certain race or group also experience a form of censorship. The most surprising thing is that the censorship of the word “white man“, but not when you type the word “[warna selain putih] man“. It has not been added to the censorship of the word “Nazi“which you will always find in Battlefield V.
Due to the strangeness of the word filtering process, EA finally found out and clarified that this was purely a technical error which they were ready to fix later. For the reason that still WIP (work in progress) – the progress of this game, all of which they expressed directly through the official forum of the Battlefield V game.
From this, I hope brott there will no longer be a controversial form of censorship when the Battlefield V game is released on November 20, 2018 later?
