Original Story
What are they capable of?

After confirming that Operation Steel Wave will be the latest update Tom Clancy’s Rainbow Six Siege. Today Ubisoft finally officially announced the capabilities of two new carriers that will be added in the update. They are Ace and Melus.

Ace is a Norwegian attacker operator. This 2 speed operator with AK12 or M1014 weapons is equipped with a hard breacher gadget called SELMA. This gadget works like a Thermite gadget but by throwing it. He can destroy wooden or iron-clad walls in stages from top to bottom up to three times. However, because the explosion and the hole are quite small, you have to wait about 12 seconds for SELMA to be able to destroy all the reinforced walls.

SELMA can also destroy reinforced floors, but because it doesn’t work the same way as walls that spread all the way down, you need two SELMAs to destroy them. This gadget can also destroy several enemy gadgets such as portable shields to other outboard gadgets that are nearby.

SELMA’s main enemies in Operation Steel Wave are gadgets belonging to other operators. One of them is Bandit and Kaid’s electricity, Wamai’s magnet, Jager’s anti grenade, and Mute’s jammer.

Meanwhile Melusi is a defender operator with 3 speeds. He has a gadget called Banshee which is able to make sounds and slow down the movement of nearby attackers. The closer the enemy is to the Banshee, the slower the movement will be. Its loud voice will warn your teammates that an enemy is approaching.

Unfortunately Banshee is only limited to slowing down the enemy’s movements and not slowing down the aim. So, you can use strategies such as lure Melusi out or immediately shoot enemies who are ensnared by Banshee.

Banshee can be destroyed by anything, Ash, Sofia, and Kali will be the strongest counter for Melusi’s gadgets. You can also hit him but with the help of the Twitch drone, Thatcher’s EMP grenade, or Finka’s boost. But if it is combined with Smoke’s poison and Goyo’s shield, then Banshee will become a gadget that really helps suppress the attacker’s movements.

The two operators will appear when Operation Steel Wave is released along with the House map upgrade which closes one garage door, completes the unfinished room design, until the total closing of the main door. This update also includes a buff for the Amaru gadget which is now faster, and an additional Promixity Alarm gadget that will sound when an enemy is nearby.

Unfortunately, as of this writing, there is no clarity from Ubisoft when Operation Steel Wave will be released. Stay with us until the French developer and publisher officially announces the update release date.
